Registration is now open for the 2025-26 Religious Education year for grades K-8 in our parishes. Registration can be completed online by using the following link: https://www.osvhub.com/sjmparish/forms/religious-education-2025-2026
Please note that the increase in registration fee will help offset rising costs for our program, including: materials, dinners, exciting extras throughout the year, workshops, and other additional costs. There is a flat fee per family. A reminder about Sacramental Years: we follow the Diocese of Scranton and its guidelines for the reception of the sacraments.
First Holy Communion
If your child is seeking to receive First Reconciliation and First Eucharist, the usual grade level is grade two. To be admitted to this program, a child must have already completed a year of religious formation, either in a Religious Education Program or in religion class in a Catholic school with a good attendance record.
Confirmation
If your child is seeking admission into the Sacramental Preparation Program for Confirmation, it is a two-year program beginning in seventh grade. Students must attend two years of classes with a good attendance record and follow parish guidelines.
