Parish Bereavement Group

Bereavement is a life-challenge to one’s personhood. It requires the person to rebalance, to gain a new confdence. This seminar, led by our parishes bereavement ministry team, will meet for six consecutive sessions on Sunday evenings, beginning with an information session on Sunday, May 18 beginning at 5:30pm. All sessions will take place in the lower Church Hall of St. John the Evangelist Church. The sessions are designed to guide a person through the beginning stages of healing. Participants will learn how dialoguing and empathy stimulate change. Experience how mindfulness meditation makes stress work for you. Use cognitive and decision-making skills to manage coping challenges.
