Stewardship at St. John the Evangelist
Since its humble beginning, over 150 years ago, St. John the Evangelist Parish has relied on the generosity of our parishioners and the community to remain an active and energetic prayer community. We at St. John the Evangelist are eternally grateful for all of your support which allows us to serve this wonderful community.
St. Ignatius of Loyola once wrote that ingratitude is “the cause, beginning, and origin of all sins and misfortunes.” His insight is that if we forget how good and generous God has been to us in Christ and if we fail to notice the blessings of our lives we can lose our way. Recognizing God’s love for us made manifest in our lives, impels us to gratitude and a desire to be of service to others.
As we look towards the future, we thank all of those who have given and ask for your continued support in building a Spiritual Center is Pittston.
